Ziarat Kach attack termed darkest chapter in Balochistan’s history, Minister’s Spokesperson rejects political exploitation

The spokesperson for Balochistan’s Food Minister Haji Noor Muhammad Khan Dummar has described the July 5 Ziarat Kach tragedy as the darkest chapter in the province’s history, condemning the cowardly terrorist assault that martyred brave police personnel. He stressed that the attack was not only on the police but on the state, the law, and the peace of Balochistan.

According to the spokesperson, Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar demonstrated practical leadership from the very first day of the tragedy, raising the issue at the Assembly floor and at higher government forums. He ensured that the martyrs were officially recognized, secured a comprehensive relief package for their families, and announced that the provincial government would bear the educational expenses of the children of the fallen officers.

The statement highlighted that Dummar personally attended the funeral prayers of the martyrs and visited the bereaved families to offer condolences. Even today, he continues to take all possible measures for the welfare of the victims’ families.

The spokesperson expressed regret that certain religious, nationalist, and political elements attempted to exploit the Chehlum condolence ceremony for political purposes, leveling baseless allegations and resorting to unethical language against the minister. He asserted that politicizing the blood of martyrs is against Pashtun traditions and Islamic teachings, and amounts to adding salt to the wounds of grieving families.

He further claimed that those now voicing concern for the martyrs were absent during their funerals and condolence visits. Warning against the misuse of martyrs’ names for political gain, the spokesperson said baseless accusations would be countered through constitutional, legal, and public means.

The statement reaffirmed that Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar will not bow to pressure and will continue his mission of public service. Paying tribute to the sacrifices of security forces, police, and law enforcement agencies, the spokesperson emphasized that the Government of Balochistan stood with the martyrs’ families yesterday, stands with them today, and will remain by their side in the future.
