Terrorists mislead youth, backed by external force

Balochistan’s Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langau, has said that terrorists are not fighting for rights or freedom but are misleading Baloch youth, adding that the Baloch nation must think about its own future and that of the coming generations. He stressed that no area in Balochistan is a “no-go zone,” while alleging that terrorists are being backed from India and Afghanistan.

Speaking at a press conference alongside his aide for the Home Department, Babar Yousafzai, the minister praised the people of Balochistan for celebrating Independence Day with great enthusiasm and lauded the security forces for their excellent arrangements. He revealed that his vehicle came under fire in Mastung, but police personnel bravely confronted the attackers, with five security officials injured in the clash.

Zia Langau said that the Baloch nation has endured much, but terrorists are exploiting communities by extorting landowners and depriving citizens of basic facilities. He asserted that terrorists have no connection with the Baloch people, claiming instead that their links are with India.

The minister also condemned a tribal conflict in Balochistan in which six women were killed, assuring that those involved will face strict action.

Later, Zia Langau visited the Trauma Center and a private hospital in Quetta to inquire after police personnel injured during the Mastung attack. Accompanied by Babar Yousafzai, he praised the courage and resilience of the wounded officers, noting that they repelled the terrorist assault with bravery and determination.

He emphasized that Balochistan Police are playing a frontline role in the fight against terrorism, and their sacrifices are recognized and valued by the nation. “The bravery and sacrifices of our security forces are a source of pride for the entire country,” he said.
