Senior Minister Sadiq Umrani highlights government’s efforts to end unemployment and promote prosperity
Quetta, Senior Provincial Minister of Balochistan, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, member of the Central Committee of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Parliamentary Leader, and Provincial Minister for Irrigation, has said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial government is making serious efforts to eliminate unemployment, establish peace, and ensure the development and prosperity of the people. He noted that the positive outcomes of these efforts are now beginning to reach the public.
He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony at Sikandar Jamali Auditorium, Civil Secretariat, where promotion orders were distributed among employees of the Irrigation Department. The event was attended by officers and staff of the department, representatives of the clerks’ union, and a large number of participants.
Umrani recalled that upon assuming ministerial responsibilities, he initiated work on pending cases under the quota for heirs of deceased employees, and in a formal ceremony, handed over appointment orders to 117 widows and orphans. He said that providing jobs or promotion orders to deserving individuals is a matter of honor for him, adding that the happiness derived from such noble work is beyond words.
Congratulating the promoted employees, the minister expressed hope that they would perform their duties with honesty and contribute to the progress of the department and the province.
Other speakers, including officers of the Irrigation Department, also congratulated the promoted employees and praised the efforts of Minister Umrani, Secretary Irrigation Sohail-ur-Rehman Baloch, and their team. They noted that the department is achieving new milestones due to their dedicated efforts. The issuance of promotion orders to hundreds of deserving employees has created a wave of joy across the department, they added, expressing confidence that the promoted staff will work with renewed commitment and diligence
