Quetta Joint Road improvement: administrator reviews on-site measures
Quetta, In line with the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti to make Quetta a clean and organized city, Administrator Metropolitan Corporation Quetta Bashir Ahmed Barech visited Joint Road to review ongoing improvement measures.
During the visit, Municipal Magistrate Dr. Imran Zeb Kasi briefed him on traffic flow, overall conditions, and steps being taken. The administrator also interacted with citizens and street vendors, urging them to cooperate with the administration and follow instructions. He emphasized that Quetta belongs to all, and keeping it clean, beautiful, and orderly is a shared responsibility. Vendors were advised to avoid placing carts on roads, remain within designated areas, and ensure their activities do not obstruct public movement.
Quetta Bashir Ahmed Barech said that comprehensive planning and practical measures are underway to improve Joint Road. After removing roadside parking, strict enforcement of the no-parking rule is being ensured, while plans are in progress to provide separate open parking areas for shoppers. He appealed to citizens to avoid parking vehicles on the road during shopping, as it disrupts traffic flow and inconveniences pedestrians.
He stressed that the success of efforts to make Joint Road better and more organized depends on cooperation between the administration, citizens, shopkeepers, buyers, and vendors. Local residents appreciated the administrator’s initiative of personally visiting the site and engaging directly with the public, terming the steps taken for improvement as positive and encouraging.
