Quetta Deputy Commissioner finalizes arrangements for upcoming snti‑polio campaign
Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini chaired an important meeting to finalize arrangements for the anti‑polio campaign scheduled to begin on August 31. The meeting reviewed a comprehensive plan for the drive, which will focus exclusively on schools and madrassas, targeting nearly 204,000 children for vaccination and oral polio drops.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all relevant departments to ensure a robust security plan, provide full protection to polio teams, and take coordinated measures to guarantee the success of the campaign. The session was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), District Health Officer Quetta, polio officials, police officers, and other concerned staff.
Mehrullah Badini appealed to school and madrassa administrations to extend full cooperation with polio teams in administering drops to enrolled children. On the occasion, he also formally inaugurated the campaign by administering polio drops and vaccines to children, marking the official launch of the upcoming drive.
