Quetta Administration reviews price control and law enforcement measures

 

Deputy Commissioner Meherullah Badini chaired an important meeting of administrative officers to review district-wide measures on price control, the repatriation of Afghan migrants, action against illegal shisha points, and other governance matters.

 

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Assistant Commissioner City, Assistant Commissioner Sadar, Assistant Commissioner Kuchlak, and Assistant Commissioner Sariab.

 

During the session, the Deputy Commissioner directed that the price control campaign be intensified and ordered indiscriminate action against profiteers and hoarders. Decisions were taken to strictly regulate the prices of milk, yogurt, meat, and flour, ensuring compliance across the district.

 

The meeting also reviewed ongoing steps regarding the evacuation of Afghan migrants residing illegally, with instructions to make the process more effective in accordance with the law.

 

Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini further ordered that operations against illegal shisha points be accelerated, stressing that public interest and rule of law would not be compromised. He instructed all Assistant Commissioners to conduct daily field monitoring in their respective areas, ensuring the availability of essential commodities at fixed rates, strict enforcement of government directives, and immediate redressal of public complaints.

 

He emphasized that these measures are aimed at providing maximum relief to citizens and strengthening administrative efficiency across Quetta district.
