Provincial Advisor orders probe into alleged encroachment of Turbat’s historic football stadium

Provincial Advisor for Sports and Youth Affairs Meena Majeed Baloch has taken notice of reports circulating on social media regarding alleged encroachment and land mafia activities at Turbat’s historic football sports stadium. She has directed Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Durra Baloch to conduct an immediate and comprehensive inquiry into the matter.

The Advisor instructed the Secretary to work in coordination with relevant officers of the Revenue Department to ascertain the actual status, ownership, and facts surrounding the alleged encroachment. She made it clear that sports grounds are the rightful property of youth and a public asset, which cannot be handed over to land grabbers under any circumstances.

Meena Majeed Baloch emphasized that the provincial government is already taking steps to provide more sports facilities and playgrounds across Balochistan. In such a situation, encroachment on existing and historic sports grounds is completely unacceptable.
