Preparations reviewed for Balochistan economic and investment forum in Lahore
QUETTA, A meeting chaired by Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT) Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar reviewed preparations for the Balochistan Economic and Investment Forum scheduled to be held in Lahore on October 21.
The meeting was attended by BBoIT Chief Executive Officer Abdul Mannan and other relevant officials. Participants discussed arrangements for the forum, the participation of investors and business leaders, strategies for highlighting investment opportunities across various sectors, and measures to ensure the success of the event.
The meeting also deliberated on the objectives of the forum and the importance of adopting effective measures to promote investment in Balochistan. Officials emphasized the need to showcase the province’s economic strengths and potential to attract both domestic and foreign investors.
Addressing the meeting, Bilal Khan Kakar said the primary objective of the forum was to present Balochistan’s vast investment opportunities before national and international investors and explore new avenues for expanding business and economic activities in the province.
He said that in line with the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, efforts were underway to transform Balochistan into a key hub of investment, trade and economic development. The Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, he added, was actively working to translate this vision into reality by creating a conducive environment for investment and facilitating business growth across the province.
Bilal Kakar expressed confidence that the Balochistan Economic and Investment Forum would prove to be a significant milestone in promoting the province’s economic potential. He said the event would help enhance investor confidence, strengthen business linkages and create new opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
The forum is expected to provide an important platform for interaction between investors, business leaders and policymakers, while highlighting Balochistan’s strategic importance, natural resources and emerging opportunities in various sectors of the economy.
