Pakistan ready to defend sovereignty, Says Balochistan Home Minister
Quetta, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to safeguard its sovereignty and defense, warning that any hostile intent towards the country will be met with a strong response.
Speaking to media persons, Zia Langau described Afghanistan as a “brotherly neighbor” but urged its leadership to abandon misconceptions and act responsibly. He cautioned that Afghanistan should not allow itself to be driven into conflict by foreign interests or funding from India and Israel.
Zia Langau criticized Afghanistan’s belief that it defeated the Soviet Union, calling it a “misconception,” and added that the country is now under the illusion of being a global power. He stressed that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared at the borders to defend the nation.
The Home Minister emphasized that Pakistan, as an Islamic country with thousands of scholars, stands united in its resolve. He urged Afghanistan to prioritize peace, withdraw from destructive wars, and relieve its people from the suffering of conflict.
“Afghanistan must act as a good neighbor rather than pursuing wars for others’ interests. If it chooses to fight Pakistan, defeat will be its destiny,” Langau declared.
