Kalat Police bust motorcycle theft gang, recover stolen motorcycles, spare parts, and power cables
Quetta, Kalat Police have carried out a major operation against a motorcycle theft gang, arresting three suspects and recovering two stolen motorcycles, a large quantity of spare parts, and stolen electricity cables. In addition, five absconders wanted in separate cases were also taken into custody.
According to DSP/SDPO Kalat, Mahiwal Khan Jamot, the operation was launched on the directives of SSP Qalat, Syed Zahid Hussain Shah, following a surge in motorcycle theft complaints in the city. A special police team was formed, which arrested Muhammad Akhtar from Mughalzai and recovered a stolen motorcycle.
Based on his information, police raided an abandoned house in the outskirts of the city, arresting two more suspects. From their possession, police seized two motorcycles, numerous spare parts, and stolen electricity wires.
The DSP confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine the suspects’ involvement in other theft incidents, as well as the sale and purchase of stolen parts and cables.
He added that police also arrested five absconders Adam Khan, Amanullah, Mushtaq Ahmed, Muhammad Naeem, and Gul Zeb who were wanted in separate cases.
Mahiwal Khan Jamot said that operations against criminal elements have been intensified, urging citizens to immediately report any suspicious activities to the police.
