Irrigation Minister urges nation to honor ancestors’ sacrifices, Independence Day to be celebrated with dignity in Naseerabad
Provincial Minister for Irrigation Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani has said that living nations always remember the timeless sacrifices of their forefathers, noting that Pakistan’s independence and freedom from the chains of slavery were achieved through unparalleled struggles that remain an unforgettable chapter of national history.
Speaking during a review of Independence Day preparations at Umrani House in Nasirabad, the Minister announced that Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day will be celebrated with national zeal, dignity, and grandeur. He said that illuminations and fireworks at Umrani House will symbolize the people’s deep love for the homeland and their commitment to national unity.
The event was attended by PPP Divisional President and Chairman Market Committee Naseerabad Mir Bilal Sadiq Umrani, SHO Mir Hassan of Police Station Muhammad Umar Awan, Naib Tehsildar Khawand Bakhsh Manjho, Patwari Zulfiqar Ali Rind, Farooq Sial, Ghulam Hussain Rind, along with a large number of citizens and PPP workers.
Umrani directed party workers to decorate intersections, main roads, side streets, and important buildings in Dera Murad Jamali with national flags and green crescent banners, sending a clear message to the world that Pakistanis value the sacrifices of their ancestors and remain united and determined to carry forward their mission.
He emphasized that the freedom enjoyed today is the fruit of the elders’ struggle and sacrifices, and therefore Independence Day is not merely a festival but a day of renewing national resolve.
In line with the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Umrani said that Independence Day celebrations will be held across the province at a high level, ensuring the national day is marked with its full dignity and importance.
