Hot weather to persist across Balochistan; isolated rain and thunderstorms forecast

 

The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) Quetta has forecast mainly hot weather conditions across most districts of Balochistan over the next 48 to 72 hours, with very hot conditions prevailing in Nokkundi, Washuk, Dalbandin, Kharan, Noshki, Pishin, Panjgur, Kech, Awaran, Sibi, and parts of Naseerabad Division.

 

According to the district weather chart issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), partly cloudy skies with rain‑wind and thunderstorms, including occasional heavy falls, are likely at isolated places in Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhail, Kohlu, Khuzdar, Duki, and Loralai districts, as well as adjoining areas. Strong gusty winds are also expected in most parts of the province.

 

The maximum temperature recorded was 44.5°C in Dalbandin, while the minimum was 30.5°C in Barkhan. Other notable readings included Sariab and Uthal at 36.5°C, Zhob at 36.0°C, Kalat and Pasni at 34.0°C, Jiwani at 33.0°C, Ormara at 32.5°C, and Gwadar at 31.0°C.
