Governor Balochistan stresses timely justice through Quasi Court hearings

Quetta, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has emphasized that timely justice plays a fundamental role in strengthening public trust and enhancing the credibility of institutions. He noted that when a deserving applicant receives justice on merit without delay, it not only brings satisfaction to the individual but also increases public confidence in state institutions.

Speaking during the weekly hearing of complaints at Governor House Quetta, conducted under the quasi‑judicial forum known as Quasi Court, the Governor underscored the need to make the Provincial Ombudsman’s office more active and effective. He directed the institution to streamline complaint registration, verification, and decision‑making processes so that citizens are not forced to undergo lengthy and costly legal procedures to secure their rights.

Governor Jaffar Mandokhail instructed heads of government departments to improve public service delivery, ensure transparency in administrative affairs, uphold merit in recruitment and promotions, and eliminate corruption and irregularities. He warned that delays in justice disproportionately affect the poor and underprivileged, subjecting them to financial hardship, mental distress, and unnecessary complications.

He reiterated that providing accessible, affordable, and swift justice is a key responsibility of the state, particularly for vulnerable groups who cannot afford heavy legal fees or prolonged court proceedings. He urged officials to prioritize genuine public grievances, simplify procedures, and remove bureaucratic hurdles to ensure timely relief.

Governor Jaffar Mandokhail clarified that the weekly hearings at the Governor House complaints cell function as a quasi‑judicial forum, designed to review grievances and resolve them in accordance with law and regulations, thereby offering effective redress to affected citizens. He praised the efforts of the Governor House team, especially Additional Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Kakar, for their commendable performance in addressing public complaints.
