Governor Balochistan meets Youth Leaders Parliament delegation, emphasizes introducing young people to parliamentary affairs, democratic processes, and policy‑making

 

 

Quetta, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail met with a delegation of the Youth Leaders Parliament led by Ismatullah. The meeting focused on introducing young people to parliamentary affairs, democratic processes, and policy‑making, while discussing the establishment of an effective platform for youth engagement and its expansion across the province.

 

The delegation briefed the Governor on the organizational structure and objectives of the Youth Leaders Parliament, which has been modeled on Pakistan’s elected parliament. Its purpose is to familiarize youth with parliamentary procedures, legislation, debate, and the functioning of democratic institutions.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Mandokhail said that youth are the nation’s most valuable asset, and it is essential to provide them with awareness about decision‑making, democratic values, and parliamentary systems. He emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue on political and social issues, enabling young people to become responsible citizens and visionary leaders in the future.

 

The Governor directed that the Youth Leaders Parliament be made more active and dynamic across Balochistan, extending its reach to different districts. He stressed the need for training programs, debates, mock sessions, and study activities to enhance leadership, research, dialogue, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills among youth.

 

Governor Mandokhail further said that young people should be given opportunities to present their views on Balochistan’s educational, economic, social, and developmental challenges, and to understand the policy‑making process. He noted that the Youth Leaders Parliament can provide practical experience in debating issues, preparing recommendations, and collectively finding solutions.

 

Highlighting the creativity and potential of Balochistan’s youth, the Governor underscored the importance of guidance, training, and opportunities. He also called for involving educational institutions, youth organizations, and civil society in the activities of the Youth Leaders Parliament.

 

The delegation apprised the Governor of its future plans and strategies to expand the network of the Youth Leaders Parliament across the province.
