DC stresses concrete measures to ensure timely completion of NA-25 highway project
Quetta, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini chaired a consultative meeting to review the progress of ongoing development and construction works on the NA-25 National Highway. The session was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Hafiz Muhammad Tariq, officials of the National Highway Authority (NHA), and revenue officers.
During the meeting, officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current status of works across different sections of the highway, progress achieved so far, and the future plan of action.
Addressing the meeting, DC Mehrullah Badini emphasized that timely completion of development projects on major highways is crucial, as they directly impact citizens’ access to better travel facilities, improved traffic management, and safer mobility. He directed concerned departments to accelerate work on NA-25, utilize all available resources, and ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe.
He stressed that quality standards and prescribed regulations must be strictly followed so that the project remains durable and effective for public use. The Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to advance all matters through close coordination and effective strategies, while promptly informing the district administration of any obstacles or issues for immediate resolution.
Revenue authorities were also directed to prioritize administrative and revenue-related matters linked to the project to avoid unnecessary delays. The meeting further discussed monitoring mechanisms, inter-departmental coordination, and measures to ensure timely completion of the NA-25 highway project.
