Commissioner Zeeshan Lashari reviews anti‑polio campaign in Mariabad; stresses 100 percent coverage
Commissioner Quetta Division Zeeshan Lashari visited Mariabad during the ongoing anti‑polio campaign to assess the performance and monitoring of vaccination teams.
During the visit, the Commissioner met with polio workers and received a detailed briefing on their field activities. He personally engaged with parents who had initially refused vaccination, persuading them to administer polio drops to their children. Lashari also inspected performance sheets, finger markings, and house markings to ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting.
He emphasized that families refusing vaccination must also be covered, directing teams to guarantee one hundred percent coverage across the division. “No child should remain deprived of polio drops,” he stressed, urging all relevant institutions to take effective measures to support the campaign.
The Commissioner instructed polio teams to intensify efforts to convince hesitant families and ensure that every child is vaccinated. He reaffirmed that complete coverage is essential to protect children from the crippling disease and to move closer to a polio‑free Balochistan.
Assistant Commissioner City Amir Hamza and Deputy District Health Officer accompanied Zeeshan Lashari during the visit, as discussions focused on strengthening coordination and ensuring the success of the campaign.
