Commissioner reviews progress on Rakhni–Baiker road project, urges timely completion

Commissioner Koh‑e‑Sulaiman Division Mujeeb‑ur‑Rehman Qambrani held a detailed meeting with officials and contractors regarding the ongoing construction of the Rakhni–Baiker Road, a key development project aimed at improving connectivity and travel facilities in the region.

The meeting, attended by ZKB Company owner Haji Mohabbat Khan, Executive Engineer B&R North Dera Bugti Shams‑ul‑Haq, and other relevant officers, was also joined by Additional Commissioner Abdul Basit Buzdar. Discussions focused on the pace of construction, quality standards, availability of machinery and manpower, and measures to ensure the project’s timely completion.

Officials provided the Commissioner with a comprehensive briefing on the progress achieved so far. Haji Mohabbat Khan assured that construction activities would be accelerated, with additional machinery and workforce deployed to complete the project within the next two and a half months.

Commissioner Qambrani emphasized the strategic importance of the Rakhni–Baiker Road, noting that it would significantly enhance travel facilities for local residents and contribute to the overall development of the area. He directed contractors and officials to speed up work without compromising on quality, stressing that the project must meet the standards set by the provincial government.

He highlighted that Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and the Government of Balochistan have a clear policy of completing public‑oriented development projects on time and to the highest standards. Quality road infrastructure, he said, not only improves connectivity between remote areas but also stimulates economic and commercial activities, benefiting local communities.

The Commissioner instructed that obstacles hindering progress be removed immediately and that construction activities be made more organized and efficient. He assured that the project’s pace and quality would be continuously monitored to ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe, enabling citizens to benefit from improved travel facilities at the earliest.

The meeting also discussed challenges faced during construction and possible solutions, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to delivering the project as planned.
