Commissioner Quetta meets Balochistan Shia Conference delegation; assures action on pilgrim, education, and public Issues

 

Commissioner Quetta Division Zeeshan Lashari met with a delegation of the Balochistan Shia Conference to discuss issues related to the movement of pilgrims, challenges faced by the business community, and various public and administrative matters.

 

The delegation highlighted difficulties faced by individuals traveling on business visas who were being stopped at Pakistan House, requesting immediate redressal. They also raised concerns over a malfunctioning tube well on Alamdar Road, which has remained out of order for the past two to three months, and called for improved facilities in educational institutions to strengthen the learning environment.

 

The delegation further urged that local residents be included in polio vaccination teams during campaigns and demanded effective action against drug dens, shisha points, and hookah cafés in Hazara Town.

 

Commissioner Zeeshan Lashari assured the delegation that the matter of business visa travelers would be taken up with the relevant authorities. He directed WASA to repair the faulty tube well on Alamdar Road and announced that official communications would be sent to education directors to ensure provision of facilities and improvement of the academic environment. He also instructed that local participation in polio teams be ensured.

 

Additionally, the Commissioner directed Deputy Commissioner Quetta West, Munir Ahmed Durani, to take strict action against drug-related activities and to eliminate shisha points and hookah cafés in Hazara Town.

 

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Quetta West Munir Ahmed Durani and other relevant officials.
