CM Bugti chairs meeting on Quetta Development Package, orders speedy completion of projects

 

Focusing on provincial capital’s growth, beautification, and improvement of civic facilities

 

Quetta, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired an important meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat to review progress on the Quetta Development Package, focusing on the provincial capital’s growth, beautification, and improvement of civic facilities.

 

Officials informed the meeting that under the package, 12 projects have been completed, work is ongoing on seven projects, while five new schemes have also been proposed. The Chief Minister directed authorities to accelerate the pace of work and ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects, while also initiating work on newly proposed schemes without delay.

 

Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that Quetta is the face of the province, and its development and beautification are directly linked to Balochistan’s identity. He said the government is committed to utilizing all available resources to transform Quetta into a modern, organized, and attractive provincial capital. He added that restoring the city’s past charm and historic identity requires a comprehensive strategy, under which practical steps will be taken to improve basic civic amenities, upgrade infrastructure, and complete beautification projects on a priority basis.

 

The Chief Minister stressed that quality, speed, and transparency must be ensured in all development works, and unnecessary delays must be avoided.

 

He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to make Quetta a city where citizens enjoy better facilities and where the capital stands out as both a modern urban center and a symbol of cultural and historical heritage.

 

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, SMBR Qambar Khan Dashti, Finance Secretary Jehangir Khan, Project Director Rafiq Baloch, and other relevant officials.
