CM Balochistan orders transparent probe into Quetta woman’s allegations, assures full protection
Provincial Adviser for Women Development Department Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi said that Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has taken immediate notice of the case involving a woman from Qambrani Road, Asma, who alleged violence, forced marriage, and abduction attempts. The CM has directed authorities to ensure justice and complete protection for the victim.
Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi emphasized that the Chief Minister has instructed relevant officials to conduct transparent and impartial investigations into the allegations. She assured that facts will be established through due legal process, and those found responsible will face action without discrimination.
She strongly condemned all forms of violence against women, forced marriages, abductions, or abuse, declaring them unacceptable. “The Government of Balochistan considers the protection of women’s lives, dignity, and fundamental rights as its foremost responsibility,” she said.
The Adviser confirmed that the victim will be provided with legal assistance, protection, and full cooperation from state institutions. She stressed that no negligence will be tolerated and the case will be monitored until justice is delivered.
Dr. Rubaba Buledi reiterated the CM’s stance that no injustice against any citizen will be allowed in the province, and women facing hardships will be guaranteed state protection and access to justice. She added that the Women Development Department is actively working to safeguard women’s rights and urged victims to raise their voices, assuring them of government support.
