CM Balochistan chairs 26th Hardening of the State Conference, reaffirms resolve against terrorism
Stresses protecting the people, strengthening state writ, and ensuring peace in Balochistan through collective cooperation and integrated strategies

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired the 26th session of the State Defense Conference (Hardening of the State Conference) in Quetta, reviewing the province’s overall security situation, ongoing counter-terrorism measures, and coordination between federal and provincial institutions for peace and stability.
The forum expressed satisfaction over the progress of Operation Shaban, jointly conducted by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan, and Police, and reaffirmed the commitment to intensify actions against terrorist elements. Participants paid tribute to the martyrs of Hanna Urak and Mangi Dam, vowing that their sacrifices would not go in vain and that counter-terrorism efforts would continue with full force.
Addressing the conference, CM Bugti said that terrorism is a national issue requiring joint efforts by the country’s political and military leadership, with the cooperation of the people. He stressed that subversive elements and their facilitators will be brought to justice, and that there is no place for anti-state actors in Balochistan.
He further highlighted that governance reforms are being introduced to enhance institutional performance and ensure better public service delivery. The provincial government, in full coordination with security forces, is focusing not only on law and order but also on development projects in remote and underdeveloped areas, recognizing that sustainable peace and development are interlinked.
The meeting was attended by representatives of federal and provincial institutions, law enforcement agencies, and security forces including the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, Pakistan Coast Guard, Police, FIA, Customs, and other relevant departments. At the conclusion, participants reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the people, strengthening state writ, and ensuring peace in Balochistan through collective cooperation and integrated strategies.
