BRA fixes 15% sales tax on messes and hotels in Balochistan

The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) has fixed the sales tax rate at 15 percent on services provided by messes and hotels under the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services (BSTS) Act.

The authority has directed all relevant service providers to ensure registration with BRA, collect sales tax at the prescribed rate, file returns on time, and deposit payable taxes within the stipulated period.

Officials emphasized that compliance with tax laws is a legal obligation for service providers, while effective tax collection, transparency, and timely payments are vital for strengthening provincial revenues and supporting Balochistan’s development.
