Balochistan Transport Authority issues strict directives to public service vehicle owners

Quetta, According to a circular issued by the Provincial Transport Authority Balochistan, all inter‑provincial and inter‑district public service vehicle owners have been instructed to submit complete employee records within ten days.

The directive requires transport companies to prepare detailed lists of drivers, conductors, helpers, security guards, mechanics, managers, and other staff, including their names, parentage, CNIC numbers, permanent and present addresses, mobile numbers, and other necessary particulars, and provide them to the authority’s office.

The circular further emphasizes that no tickets should be issued to foreign nationals without legal documents, particularly Afghan citizens residing illegally, and they must not be allowed to travel on company buses. Transport companies have been directed to maintain proper passenger records during ticketing and ensure that no individual is provided travel facilities without fulfilling identification and legal requirements.

The notification warns that non‑compliance will result in legal action under the Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1965 and Motor Vehicle Rules 1969, which may include sealing of the company and suspension of vehicles.
