Balochistan Investment Board to empower rural women through business training
Quetta, Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Investment Board, Bilal Khan Kakar, has said that effective measures are being taken to economically empower rural women in line with the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Chairing a meeting to review preparations, he announced that a special ceremony will be held on October 15 under the auspices of the Investment Board to provide business training and awareness to rural women. Women from remote areas across Balochistan will be invited to participate. The meeting was attended by CEO Abdul Manan, Social Innovation Academy representative Rozina Kakar, and other officials.
Bilal Khan Kakar emphasized that it is essential to highlight the entrepreneurial potential of rural women, introduce them to modern business practices, and provide opportunities to convert their resources into effective sources of income. He noted that women can play a vital role in strengthening the provincial economy, particularly in sectors such as handicrafts, agriculture, livestock, food processing, cottage industry, tourism, and other fields. By utilizing their skills, women can improve their families’ economic conditions while contributing to local development.
He added that the Investment Board is taking practical steps to provide women with information on business opportunities, investment prospects, market access, and enterprise development. The upcoming ceremony aims to create a platform where rural women can seek guidance from experts, share their business ideas, and highlight their challenges.
Bilal Khan Kakar stressed that integrating talented women from remote areas into economic activities is crucial for the overall progress and prosperity of the province. He reaffirmed that the Investment Board will continue to play its role in enhancing women’s entrepreneurial capacity and making them economically self‑reliant.
