Balochistan Home Minister clarifies position on Levies Force
Quetta, Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove has said that no assurance was given regarding the restoration of the Levies Force during negotiations with the Ziarat sit‑in committee. He emphasized that the talks did not include any commitment to reinstate the Levies.
Zia Langove said that if opposition parties wish to pursue the restoration of the Levies Force, they should adopt a parliamentary course of action rather than protest. He noted that opposition parties are themselves part of the provincial assembly and parliament, and therefore should lobby and present a bill in the assembly to advance the matter through constitutional and legal means.
The Home Minister stressed that the government is serious about resolving issues, but all matters must be addressed strictly within the framework of law and the constitution. He urged the opposition to play a constructive role on parliamentary forums instead of resorting to street protests, so that lasting solutions to public problems can be achieved.
