Balochistan Health Minister reaffirms commitment to quality healthcare
Quetta, Provincial Health Minister Balochistan, Bakh Muhammad Kakar, has said that providing quality and timely medical facilities to every citizen across the province is the government’s foremost priority. He noted that ongoing reforms in the health sector are already yielding positive results, with all available resources being utilized to ensure improved healthcare services for the public.
Speaking to various delegations, the minister highlighted that modern medical equipment, adequate supply of medicines, and the gradual fulfillment of shortages in doctors and paramedical staff are being ensured in government hospitals. He added that special measures are being taken to activate basic health centers in remote areas so that citizens can access treatment at their doorstep.
Kakar emphasized that transparency, accountability, and an improved administrative system remain central to the government’s health policy. He said hospital facilities will be further enhanced, emergency services expanded, and modern medical technology introduced to make treatment more effective.
He pointed out that given Balochistan’s vast geography, strengthening the health system requires collaboration with the federal government and development agencies. Several projects are underway that will not only provide quality healthcare to the public but also enhance the capacity of medical staff.
The minister reiterated that serving the people is the government’s foremost responsibility, and timely completion of ongoing health development projects will be ensured so that every citizen of Balochistan can benefit from better medical facilities.
