BACT trainee teachers attend awareness session at NAB Balochistan

 

Quetta, A delegation of trainee participants from the Balochistan Academy for College Teachers (BACT), Quetta, visited the NAB Balochistan Complex as part of an exposure and awareness programme.

 

The delegation was warmly received by Director Awareness and Prevention, Muhammad Saleem Ahmed, and his team on behalf of Director General NAB Balochistan. During the visit, participants were given a detailed briefing on the working of the National Accountability Bureau, including its mandate under the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999, the three‑pronged approach of awareness, prevention and enforcement, the process of handling complaints from verification to reference, and recent legislative developments.

 

Deputy Director Shoukat Sarpara led the delegation to attend the awareness session, which focused on promoting understanding of corruption prevention, transparency, integrity, and good governance among college teachers and students. Speakers emphasized that lecturers, as influential members of society, can play a vital role in instilling ethical values, honesty, responsibility, and intolerance towards corruption in the younger generation.

 

The participants actively engaged in the proceedings, expressed keen interest in promoting anti‑corruption awareness, and highlighted the importance of integrating ethical values into academic and social settings. The session concluded with a question‑and‑answer segment, where participants’ queries were addressed comprehensively.

 

At the end of the ceremony, Director Awareness and Prevention Muhammad Saleem Ahmed presented a shield to Deputy Director Muhammad Shoukat Sarpara, followed by a group photograph to mark the occasion.
