Awareness Seminar on BEEF Scholarships held in Usta Muhammad

 

Usta Muhammad, On the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the district administration of Usta Muhammad organized an awareness seminar on the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) scholarship program at the Municipal Corporation Hall. Students of Boys Degree College Usta Muhammad also joined via video link.

 

Chief Executive Officer BEEF, Khalid Khan, along with other officials, participated through video link and provided detailed guidance to students, teachers, and heads of institutions regarding scholarship eligibility, application procedures, educational facilities, and other key aspects. He explained that under the Chief Minister’s education‑friendly policy, talented and deserving students are being given maximum opportunities to pursue higher education in renowned institutions across the country.

 

Khalid Khan informed participants that students meeting the prescribed criteria receive financial assistance covering educational expenses, with support of up to Rs. 84,000 annually per student. He added that PhD candidates are also eligible, while children of martyrs can continue their education for up to 16 years under BEEF sponsorship. He urged students to benefit from the program, noting that those securing at least 60 percent marks are eligible to apply.

 

Deputy Commissioner Usta Muhammad, Muhammad Ramzan Pilal, Assistant Commissioner Maria Shamoon, principals of Boys and Girls Degree Colleges, heads of various schools, teachers, and a large number of students attended the seminar. The Deputy Commissioner praised the Chief Minister’s education‑friendly initiatives and termed the BEEF scholarship program a commendable step for supporting talented and needy students.

 

He urged educational institutions to spread maximum awareness among students and parents about the scholarship program and guide them through the application process so that more deserving candidates can benefit.
