Joint meeting in Quetta decides complete removal of encroachments from major roads
In compliance with the directives of the honorable court, a joint meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Quetta Hafiz Muhammad Tariq was held on Tuesday with officials from the Traffic Police, Metropolitan Corporation Quetta (MCQ), and district police.
The meeting reviewed measures to eliminate encroachments along Zarghoon Road and Inscamb Road, improve traffic flow, and ease public inconvenience. It was decided that all encroachments on these key thoroughfares will be completely removed through coordinated operations by the relevant departments.
Officials also resolved to impose a strict ban on the entry of tractors and trolleys that obstruct traffic movement, with effective enforcement measures to be taken immediately.
ADC (Revenue) Hafiz Muhammad Tariq directed the concerned institutions to ensure full implementation of court orders without negligence or delay. He emphasized that strict action must be taken against any lapses during anti‑encroachment drives.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to intensify efforts for restoring public pathways, improving traffic flow, and eliminating encroachments across Quetta, ensuring relief for citizens and compliance with judicial directives.
