ECP orders re‑polling in PB‑09 Kohlu, de‑notifies Changaiz Khan Marri’s victory

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), acting on the directives of Election Tribunal‑III Balochistan, has annulled the earlier notification declaring Nawab Changaiz Khan Marri as the successful candidate from constituency PB‑09 Kohlu. The Commission has formally de‑notified his victory and ordered re‑polling at four polling stations in the constituency.

According to the ECP, the re‑polling process will be supervised by the Returning Officer of PB‑09 Kohlu, who will ensure adequate administrative arrangements and deployment of security personnel. The Commission emphasized that the exercise must be conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and orderly manner.

The re‑polling is scheduled for August 27, 2026, and will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. without any break.
