Balochistan Finance Minister highlights mineral sector as key to sustainable growth

 

Provincial Minister for Finance, Mines and Mineral Development, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani emphasized that the government is focusing on encouraging investment in the mining sector through transparency, the use of modern technology, and the creation of a conducive environment for investors.

 

During the visited of the office of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBOIT) and held a meeting with Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar.Mir Shoaib Nosherwani described Balochistan’s mineral wealth as a vital pillar of the province’s economic progress.

 

Nosherwani praised the role of BBOIT, noting that by harnessing natural resources in modern and sustainable ways, Balochistan can be transformed into a hub of economic growth and investment.

 

In the meeting, detailed discussions were held on promoting investment in Balochistan, particularly in the mines and minerals sector, providing facilities to investors, and ensuring sustainable economic development. The participants reviewed the province’s natural resources, mineral reserves, and investment opportunities.

 

Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar stressed that transparent, simple, and investor‑friendly procedures are essential for boosting investment in the mines and minerals sector. He pointed out that Balochistan possesses extraordinary potential in natural resources, particularly minerals, with diverse reserves that can be converted into a strong source of economic development through modern technology, responsible investment, and effective policies.

 

He added that under the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Balochistan Board of Investment is actively working to create a favorable investment climate, provide effective facilities to investors, and inform both local and foreign investors about opportunities across various sectors of the province.

 

The meeting also underscored the importance of ensuring environmental protection, safeguarding the interests of local communities, and adhering to principles of sustainable development and responsible investment alongside the growth of the mineral sector.
