Polling has ended for the second phase of local government by‑elections in three districts of Balochistan including Zhob, Loralai, and Sibi where six general seats of municipal committees and union councils were contested.

According to the Provincial Election Commissioner’s office, 19 candidates participated in the elections. The constituencies collectively had 5,546 registered voters, including 2,942 men and 2,604 women. Eight polling stations were established, comprising two male, two female, and four combined stations. Six polling stations were declared sensitive, while two were categorized as normal. Voting continued without interruption until 4 p.m.

The Election Commission directed that after 4 p.m., only voters already present inside polling station premises would be allowed to cast their ballots. Media outlets were instructed not to broadcast any unofficial or preliminary results before 5 p.m., in accordance with the Commission’s code of conduct.

Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sayal emphasized that all security agencies and administrative authorities must remain vigilant during and after polling. He ordered strict security measures during the counting process and directed that polling staff and election materials be safely transported to the offices of Returning Officers using all available resources.
