Advisor to the Chief Minister Balochistan on Sports and Youth Affairs, Meena Majeed Baloch, visited various roads of the provincial capital on Saturday night to review preparations, decorations, and lighting arrangements for Independence Day celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that the vibrant decorations and illuminated streets have given Quetta a new and beautiful look, while citizens are preparing to celebrate Independence Day in a peaceful environment. “Amidst these lights and in a peaceful atmosphere, the people of Balochistan, the people of Quetta, are celebrating August 14. This is Balochistan, this is its peace, and this is the true picture of Balochistan,” she remarked.

Meena Majeed Baloch emphasized that while negative perceptions and propaganda have often been spread about Balochistan, the festive lights, public enthusiasm, and Independence Day activities in Quetta reflect the province’s real, peaceful, and positive face. She added that Independence Day is not merely a national holiday but an opportunity to express love for Pakistan, unity, and national solidarity.

She noted that, as always, the people of Balochistan are celebrating Independence Day this year with full patriotic spirit, showcasing the province’s commitment to peace, harmony, and national pride.
