Independence Day sports festival inaugurates in Naseerabad: cricket tournament kicks off
Naseerabad, As part of the Independence Day celebrations, the “Healthy Youth, Bright Balochistan” campaign has officially commenced in Naseerabad under the auspices of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department.
In the first phase, a cricket tournament was launched through the efforts of Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Dr. Yasar Bazai and under the supervision of Deputy Director Sports Naseerabad Division, Feroz Ali Abro. The opening match was inaugurated by Chief Officer Municipal Committee Dera Murad Jamali, Saleem Khan Domki, who played a traditional shot to mark the beginning of the tournament.
The inaugural fixture was contested between the teams of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Niaz Mastoi. The ground was packed with enthusiastic spectators who cheered the players throughout. Distinguished guests including Abdul Karim Domki, Abdul Ghaffar Domki, and Muhammad Iqbal Solangi were also present.
Addressing the ceremony, Saleem Khan Domki said that sports are a vital means of channeling the positive energies of youth, building a healthy society, and promoting national unity. He added that organizing such competitions during Independence Day celebrations plays a key role in fostering patriotism, discipline, and teamwork among young people.
