Advisor Dr. Rubaba Buledi declares Asma Jatak case a serious human rights concern

Advisor to the Chief Minister Balochistan for Women Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, has termed the Asma Jatak case a grave human rights issue that cannot be ignored or treated lightly at any level.

In a statement, she said that the young victim is seeking justice, and every conscientious individual must rise above personal interests to stand firmly on the side of truth and justice. Dr. Rubaba emphasized that Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti is in constant contact with the affected family, while the Home Department is actively engaged in the matter. She assured that the provincial government is taking all possible measures to ensure justice for Asma Jatak and her family.

She stressed that the Balochistan government is fully aware of its responsibilities regarding human rights and the protection of women and children, and no victim will be left alone in their pursuit of justice. “Transparent and effective legal proceedings will be ensured in accordance with the law,” she said.

Dr. Rubaba underscored that violence, forced marriage, abduction, threats, or any form of injustice against women and children cannot be tolerated. She urged all segments of society to act responsibly in such sensitive matters, become the voice of victims, and contribute to ensuring justice.

Reaffirming the government’s seriousness, she declared that Asma Jatak will receive justice and that the provincial administration stands firmly with her family. “Delivering justice is the fundamental responsibility of the state, and in this case, the requirements of law and justice will be upheld at all costs,” she concluded.
