CM Sarfraz Bugti brokers peace, ends long-running tribal feud between Shah Ali Karcho and Juma Karcho in Sui
SUI, A longstanding and violent tribal dispute between the Shah Ali Karcho and Juma Kardcho groups was amicably resolved on Sunday through reconciliation efforts led by Balochistan Chief Minister and Chief of Bugti Tribe, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, bringing an end to years of hostility and restoring harmony between the rival sides.
The breakthrough came during the chief minister’s visit to Sui, where both parties agreed to settle their differences through dialogue and tribal mediation. Following the reconciliation, members of the two groups embraced one another, symbolising the end of the blood feud and the beginning of a new chapter of peace and brotherhood.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti underscored the importance of peace, mutual respect and tribal harmony, describing them as essential pillars of a stable and prosperous society. He said the peaceful settlement of tribal disputes was critical to ensuring lasting peace and social stability in the region.
The chief minister stressed that ending enmities and bloodshed through reconciliation not only protects precious human lives but also strengthens trust, understanding and cohesion within society. He urged tribal leaders and community members to prioritise dialogue and peaceful conflict resolution over confrontation in order to safeguard the interests of future generations.
“Peace, brotherhood and the amicable resolution of tribal disputes are the foundations of a strong, peaceful and prosperous society,” Mir Sarfraz Bugti said. He noted that resolving disagreements through negotiations and mutual understanding contributes significantly to social harmony and creates an environment conducive to development and progress.
The gathering was also attended by prominent tribal elders and local notables, who expressed their support for the reconciliation process and appreciated the efforts of the chief minister in bringing the two sides together.
The successful mediation is being regarded as an important step towards promoting stability and strengthening social cohesion in Sui.
