Balochistan extends validity of un‑cashed government cheques

Quetta, The Finance Department of the Government of Balochistan has extended the validity period of un‑cashed government cheques issued during the current financial year until October 26, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the department, cheques released by the Accountant General’s office, district accounts offices, the Communications and Works Department, and relevant project authorities will remain valid from October 7 to October 26, 2026.

The extension aims to provide additional time for encashment of government cheques that were not processed within the earlier deadline, thereby facilitating departments and stakeholders in completing the cashing process smoothly.

The notification clarified that the extension took effect on October 7, 2026 and will remain in force until October 26, 2026.
