Illegal water connections removed in mirani Dam Command Area
Turbat, Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Kech, Yasir Iqbal Dashti, the district administration in collaboration with the Irrigation Department carried out a major operation against illegal water connections and theft in the Mirani Dam command area.
The operation, supervised by Naib Tehsildar Dasht Bahot Dashti and Irrigation Department official Sher Jan Baloch, targeted unauthorized pipelines and connections. Illegal pipes were dismantled and destroyed, while sources of unlawful water supply were eliminated. Authorities warned those involved in water theft to immediately desist from illegal practices, cautioning that further violations would invite strict legal action.
Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti emphasized that ensuring fair and lawful distribution of water from Mirani Dam is a top priority of the district administration. He directed relevant departments to continue indiscriminate action against water theft and illegal connections so that all deserving farmers can benefit equitably from available resources.
He added that the administration is committed to improving the agricultural sector by guaranteeing farmers their rightful share of water. Officials were instructed to regularly monitor the water distribution system in the command area and to take immediate action against any unlawful activity.
The district administration reiterated that water is a national and collective asset, and its illegal use or theft will not be tolerated. Authorities affirmed that strict measures will continue against violators to safeguard resources and ensure justice for all cultivators.
