Balochistan govt signs MoU with HBL Konnect to strengthen KUMAK Program for persons with disabilities

Quetta, The Balochistan’s Social Welfare Department and HBL Konnect have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Quetta to enhance the implementation of the KUMAK Program, aimed at supporting persons with disabilities.

The MoU was signed by Secretary Social Welfare Department, Ismatullah Qureshi, and representatives of HBL Konnect. The initiative reflects the efforts of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, for the welfare of persons with disabilities, and the continuous dedication of Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare, Wali Muhammad Noorzai.

The purpose of the MoU is to ensure transparent and effective delivery of financial assistance, educational facilities, and other welfare measures under the KUMAK Program. Through this program, the Government of Balochistan will provide scholarships and educational support up to PhD level at government expense, alongside interest‑free loans and other facilities to promote economic self‑reliance among persons with disabilities.

HBL Konnect will facilitate easier, transparent, and efficient access to these benefits, strengthening the government’s initiatives for education, financial independence, and social inclusion of persons with disabilities.
