Awareness session on BEEF scholarships held in Kalat
Kalat, On the special directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, an awareness session on Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) scholarships was organized in Qalat district.
The session was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kalat, Engineer Ayesha Zehri, and attended by officials of the Education Department from Kalat and Khaliqabad, principals of various colleges, headmasters and headmistresses of schools, along with a large number of students.
During the session, BEEF’s online Quetta team briefed the Deputy Commissioner and education officials via video link on the number of students who benefited from scholarships in the district over the past decade, including district toppers and scholarship details.
The team also provided students with detailed guidance on scholarship criteria, application procedures, eligibility requirements, and quotas reserved for minorities and persons with special needs.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Zehri emphasized that education is the guarantee of a bright future for the younger generation, and the Government of Balochistan is committed to facilitating talented and deserving students in pursuing higher education. She noted that the purpose of the BEEF scholarship program is to provide opportunities to capable students who might otherwise be deprived of education due to financial constraints.
She urged students to carefully understand the scholarship criteria and application process and submit their applications on time so that maximum deserving candidates can benefit. She also directed education officials, teachers, and heads of institutions to actively spread awareness about BEEF scholarships and guide students through the application process.
The Deputy Commissioner added that students in Kalat possess immense potential, and by providing them with educational opportunities and proper guidance, they can play a vital role in the progress of the province and the country.
