Governor Balochistan chairs 19th meeting of Cadet Colleges Board of Governors, announces quality‑focused reforms

Quetta, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has said that instead of increasing the number of cadet colleges in the province, the government is taking concrete measures to raise the standard and performance of existing institutions to match the country’s best cadet colleges.

Presiding over the 19th meeting of the Cadet Colleges Board of Governors, the Governor emphasized that the priority is to provide better facilities, quality education, and a conducive learning environment to teachers and cadets, rather than expanding capacity at the cost of higher fees. He assured that all administrative, academic, and basic requirements of cadet colleges will be met on a priority basis.

The meeting was attended by Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani (online), Adviser to the Chief Minister Rababa Bilidi, MPA Dastagir Badini, Secretary Higher Education Hashim Khan Ghilzai, Principal Secretary to the Governor Abdul Nasir Dotani, Additional Secretary S&GAD Rahmat Chingizi, principals of all cadet colleges, representatives of Finance and P&D departments, and Aftab Buzdar. A detailed briefing was given on the performance, challenges, and future plans of Balochistan’s twelve cadet colleges.

Governor Jaffar Mandokhail announced that teachers and staff will be provided facilities comparable to the country’s top cadet colleges to enable them to perform their duties with full dedication. He revealed plans to construct modern sports complexes with gyms and quality grounds, convocation halls, and ensure effective transport and foolproof security arrangements for students and staff.

He directed the concerned deputy commissioners to extend full cooperation to cadet colleges, stressing that every available resource will be mobilized to preserve their distinct identity. He also assured support for expanding infrastructure, including additional classrooms, hostels, sports complexes, security measures, and medical facilities to meet the needs of the growing number of cadets.
