CM Sarfraz Bugti chairs Secretaries Committee Meeting, reviews departmental performance and reform agenda

 

Quetta, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a meeting of the Secretaries Committee at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Monday, where the performance of provincial departments over the past two and a half years was reviewed and the continuation of reform initiatives was reaffirmed.

 

The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Mir Sadiq Umrani, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Mir Saleem Khan Khosa, and Mir Shoaib Nosherwani. Discussions focused on ongoing development projects, institutional reforms, and departmental achievements.

 

Secretary Health Balochistan, Mujeeb‑ur‑Rehman Panizai briefed the committee on the implementation of the DHIS2 digital health system, noting significant improvements in digital data reporting and compliance. He said the scope of DHIS2 will be expanded to include primary healthcare digitalization, artificial intelligence integration, local innovations, and research. Panizai highlighted that during his recent visit to Oslo, Balochistan’s digital health reforms were appreciated at international forums, with the province’s effective use of DHIS2 data recognized as a major achievement. He added that collaboration with the University of Oslo’s HISP Centre is underway for joint research, technical exchanges, and global promotion of Balochistan’s digital health model.

 

Chief Minister Bugti expressed satisfaction with departmental performance, stressing the need to maintain the momentum of reforms, strengthen merit, and ensure AI‑based recruitments. He underscored the importance of leveraging modern technology and data‑driven systems to enhance public service delivery.

 

Provincial ministers praised the government’s reform agenda under Bugti’s leadership, noting improvements in development processes, institutional reforms, transparency, and service delivery. They emphasized that AI‑based recruitment and merit‑driven systems are crucial for the province’s future. The ministers pledged their continued support for advancing the reform agenda and ensuring its successful implementation.
