Public confidence in govt hospitals restored, CM Bugti vows continued reforms

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that ongoing reforms in the health sector are restoring public confidence in government hospitals, with both citizens and legislators increasingly opting for treatment at provincial medical facilities.

At Civil Sandeman Hospital Quetta, MPA and former Health Minister Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch successfully underwent angioplasty at the cardiology department. Expressing satisfaction, he noted that the availability of quality healthcare services within the province is sparing citizens the burden of traveling to other cities for treatment and incurring additional expenses.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by National Party leader Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, visited the hospital to inquire after Rehmat Saleh Baloch and received updates on his health from attending doctors.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that providing modern medical facilities and improving treatment standards in government hospitals is a top priority. Writing on social media platform X, he stated that the reforms aim to eliminate the need for patients to seek treatment outside Balochistan.

He added that the government is working to ensure that major hospitals in the province are equipped to handle complex medical cases locally. Efforts are underway to enhance diagnostic services, emergency care, medical equipment, and specialized treatment facilities.

The Chief Minister stressed that health sector improvement is a continuous process, with available resources being utilized to expand services and strengthen hospitals. The successful angioplasty of Rehmat Saleh Baloch at Civil Sandeman Hospital reflects the positive outcomes of these reforms, demonstrating that the benefits of ongoing initiatives are beginning to reach the public.
