Educational materials distributed under BSLIP initiative
In line with the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Provincial Secretary Schools Lal Jan Jaffar supervised the distribution of educational materials among students at Technical Model High School Quetta under the Balochistan Student Learning Improvement Programme (BSLIP).
The initiative aims to meet students’ academic needs, make the learning process more effective, and improve the overall quality of education.
For Quetta district, items including school bags, MHM kits, color pencil sets, storybooks, DRR kits, and flashcard sets were distributed. Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Schools Lal Jan Jaffar said that the provincial government is taking practical steps to promote quality education, provide essential learning resources, and create a conducive learning environment in schools. He emphasized that ensuring the transparent, fair, and timely distribution of educational materials is a top priority.
He further highlighted that under his supervision, the Health Screening Initiative in Balochistan is also underway in government schools. This program focuses on protecting children’s health, identifying medical issues at an early stage, and promoting a healthy educational environment. Lal Jan Jaffar stressed that health and education are interlinked, and only healthy children can actively participate in academic activities.
He noted that health screening in schools will help in timely identification of health problems and ensure appropriate medical guidance. The Secretary reaffirmed that the Government of Balochistan will continue integrated measures in health and education to provide children with a safe, healthy, and improved learning environment.
This initiative, supported by UNICEF and the Government of Norway, reflects the commitment to providing children with a healthy start and a better future. The Directorate of Education Schools Balochistan is effectively advancing health screening activities across the province.
