Assistant to the Balochistan Home Department, Babar Yousafzai, announced that successful negotiations between the Government of Balochistan and Pakistan Kisan Ittehad have led to the postponement of the farmers’ long march and sit-in towards Islamabad.

According to Babar Yousafzai, the decision was made following a request from the provincial government, with the aim of maintaining peace and stability in the current national circumstances. A government delegation led by Provincial Minister Ali Madad Jatak held talks with Kisan Ittehad President Khalid Bhatt, while Member of Provincial Assembly Mir Jahanzeb Mengal also participated in the discussions.

During the meeting, the government assured the farmers’ representatives that their demands would be addressed. In response, Khalid Bhatt accepted the government’s request and announced the postponement of the long march. Yousafzai emphasized that this outcome reflects a positive step forward in resolving issues through dialogue and cooperation.

He further said that the Balochistan government is committed to taking serious measures to address the legitimate demands of the farming community. The postponement of the march, he added, demonstrates both the government’s sincerity and the farmers’ willingness to cooperate for the sake of national stability.
