NAB Balochistan organise a seminar on “Functions of NAB and Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” at Al-Hamd Islamic University, Quetta
As part of its ongoing anti-corruption awareness campaign, NAB (Balochistan) organized a Seminar on “Functions of NAB and Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” at Al-Hamd Islamic University, City Campus, Quetta. Registrar of the campus Mr. Abdul Raheem, welcomed the Director NAB (B) Muhammad Saleem Ahmed, Deputy Director Sulman Akbar and the NAB team. The primary objective of the seminar was to aware the youth about detrimental effects of corruption and to promote collective efforts for building a corruption-free society.
Deputy Director NAB (B) Mr. Sulman Akbar delivered a detailed lecture to the participants about the working of NAB, it’s vision, mission and methodology.
Director NAB Muhammad Saleem Ahmed engaged with the students and defined the significant role, students can play in eradicating the menace of corruption. He deliberated upon the teachings of Islam and emphasized that the Islamic teachings assert on self-accountability and do not allow an iota of dishonesty or corruption. He added that nepotism, influence peddling, bribery, extortion and favoritism were underlined as forms of corruption, but unfortunately, these have been taken by the society as a norm. He effectively and patiently responded in detail to the questions raised by the students at the end of the session.
On this occasion, Additional Registrar Al-Hamd Islamic University, Faheem Abbas shared his thoughts against corruption and appreciated the efforts of NAB Balochistan for its eradication and assured to extend all possible assistance in the anti-corruption awareness drive of NAB Balochistan. The seminar concluded with presentation of shield to the Addl Registrar Faheem Abbas by Director NAB Muhammad Saleem Ahmed followed by mutual express of gratitude and a note of thanks by both sides.
At the end of the seminar, an awareness walk was also arranged, wherein, participants of seminar including NAB officers, Addl Registrar and a fair gathering of students, participated.
