Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has strongly condemned the attack on police personnel assigned to protect an anti‑polio campaign team in Nushki, expressing deep grief over the martyrdom of the officers.

According to details, unidentified assailants opened fire on the policemen deployed for the security of polio workers in Killi Jamalabad, resulting in the tragic loss of two lives. The Home Minister immediately sought a report from the Inspector General of Police and the Additional Home Secretary regarding the incident.

In his statement, Zia Langau described the attack as an assault on the safe future of children, stressing that the sacrifices of police officers and polio workers will not be forgotten. He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, assuring them that the government stands with them in their grief.

The Home Minister emphasized that the fight against polio is, in fact, a struggle to secure a healthy future for Balochistan’s children. He noted that terrorists cannot derail efforts to protect children from preventable diseases. Zia Langau praised the dedication of polio workers and police personnel who continue to perform their duties without regard for personal safety, ensuring that children are safeguarded from disability.
