Governor Mandokhail meets German Ambassador; emphasizes cooperation in technology, education, and investment
Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail met with German Ambassador to Pakistan Ina Lepel at the Governor House Quetta, where both sides discussed bilateral relations, regional political developments, and matters of mutual interest.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Jaffar Mandokhail said that Pakistan and Germany have bright prospects for expanding cooperation in modern sectors. He noted that Germany has acquired significant expertise in advanced technology, renewable energy, vocational and technical education, and other fields, which could greatly benefit Balochistan. He emphasized the importance of German support in promoting higher education in the province, highlighting that quality education, vocational training, and skill development aligned with market needs are essential for creating better employment opportunities for youth.
The Governor appreciated Germany’s assistance in education, health, and disaster management, describing it as highly valuable. He urged German investors to explore profitable opportunities in Balochistan’s blue economy, fisheries, minerals, and agriculture sectors. Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in higher education, vocational training, solar energy, and other modern fields.
Ambassador Ina Lepel thanked the Governor and assured that Germany would continue its cooperation for the welfare and development of the people of Balochistan. The meeting concluded with a luncheon hosted in honor of the German delegation.
The session was also attended by Honorary Consul General Mir Murad Baloch, Mirjam Arista, parliamentarians Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Muhammad Khan Lehri, Barkat Rind, Zarak Khan Mandokhail, Risk Samuel, Provincial Secretary Hashim Khan Ghilzai, and Wali Khan Mandokhail.
