Health Secretary Panizai reviews Polio campaign; certificates awarded to Schools and Madaris for outstanding role
Secretary Health Balochistan Mujeeb‑ur‑Rehman Panizai chaired an important meeting to review the outcomes of the recent polio campaign and discuss preparations for the upcoming drive. The session was attended by Provincial EOC Coordinator Inam‑ul‑Haq, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Meherullah Badini, representatives of the Private Schools Association, Madaris Association, and officials from government schools.
Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini presented a detailed briefing on the campaign in Quetta, highlighting the cooperation of schools, madaris, and educational institutions, as well as the measures taken and results achieved. Secretary Health Panizai praised the efforts of the district administration and partner institutions, stressing that the complete eradication of polio requires collective responsibility, coordinated action, and sustained collaboration among all stakeholders.
The meeting also focused on ensuring stronger cooperation from schools, madaris, and other educational institutions during the upcoming campaign to protect children from the crippling disease. Effective strategies were discussed to enhance outreach and compliance.
To recognize outstanding contributions, certificates of appreciation were distributed among representatives of private schools, madaris, and government schools that demonstrated exemplary performance during the campaign. On the occasion, Secretary Health Panizai, Deputy Commissioner Badini, and Polio Coordinator Inam‑ul‑Haq personally presented the certificates, acknowledging the role of educational institutions in supporting the province’s polio eradication efforts.
Officials reiterated that sustained cooperation, awareness, and timely vaccination are essential to achieving the goal of a polio‑free Balochistan, and emphasized that the upcoming campaign will build upon the successes of previous drives.
