CM Balochistan praises security forces for successful operation near Kalat
Elimination of five militants and safe recovery of 23 abducted individuals
Quetta, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has lauded the security forces for their successful operation against terrorists near Kalat, which resulted in the elimination of five militants and the safe recovery of 23 abducted individuals.
According to details, security forces carried out a timely and effective action, thwarting terrorists’ attempts to disrupt public movement along the national highway. The operation also foiled plots involving kidnapping for ransom, extortion, and vehicle snatching.
During the raid, forces recovered six trucks, three buses, and two vehicles from the terrorists’ hideout, along with a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti expressed satisfaction over the professional capabilities and swift response of the security forces, terming the operation a major success in the fight against terrorism. He reiterated that counter-terrorism operations will continue with full force across Balochistan to ensure the protection of citizens and national highways.
He further emphasized that the state institutions remain determined to eliminate terrorism, particularly those backed by foreign sponsorship and facilitation, and vowed that the safety of people’s lives and property will be ensured at all costs.
